How We Work - The Process

Our approach to every project is flexible, to suit the nature of that piece of work.

On our larger projects we may involve most of the team at Matrix, whether it be overseeing the project or liaising with the client, providing design input, coding, testing or working on SEO aspects. For smaller pieces we usually prefer the developer to work in direct contact with the client.

At the outset of a project we will liaise with a client to to determine the scope of the project and to establish the general aims of the project, and any specific details we need to be aware of to add our ideas and accurately quote for the work.

Matrix would then provide a proposal, usually on a fixed price basis, for the work that has been detail in that proposal.

Once the proposal has been confirmed to go ahead, the design phase would get underway, with one of our designers briefed internally, and then liaising with the client to form a full design brief.

Matrix would usually present visuals to the client online, and would work closely with the client until the design is agreed and signed off.

Building on the site usually does not commence until the design is signed off. At his point we are then usually working on two aspects of the project.  Building layouts and template for the front end of the website, and working on the backend functionality / CMS.  These are then brought together to deliver a working version of the website, usually made available at a hidden address.

After working through any requested changes or snags the website is ready to go live.

Once live we usually undertake any agreed promotion work, such as link building campaigns, or putting PPC campaigns in place.
